European Aviation Safety Agency proposes that new aircraft types meet CO2 standards

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) wants new aircraft types and those already in production to meet separate CO2 standards. The EASA proposal would see newly-designed aircrafts to meet a CO2 standard from January 1, 2020 while those being produced comply with a different one from January 1, 2023.
