Vietnam Airlines suggests setting a floor price for domestic airfare

Vietnam’s flagship carrier Vietnam Airlines has proposed to industry authorities that a floor price for air tickets be fixed. The move came after Vietnam Airlines reported a huge loss last year. Indian government requested to cap airfares to Gulf

A parliamentary panel has requested the Indian government to take a closer look at capping air ticket rates and control the “artificially created exorbitant prices in the Gulf sector.” The development comes after concerns were raised that airlines were charging high airfares, notably during festival seasons.
